PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of recording a main image and a sub-image simultaneously, and capable of reproducing a main image and a sub-image with high image quality.SOLUTION: During video recording, main image data is generated from all range of image data obtained by an image sensor 102, and an attention region of image data obtained by an image sensor 102 is cut out thus generating sub-image data. The main image data and sub-image data are recorded on a recording medium 117. Frame related information indicating the relationship of the main image data and sub-image data is generated in a frame related information generation unit 115, and also recorded on the recording medium 117. During simultaneous reproduction of the main image data and sub-image data, the sub-image data is resized according to the frame related information so that the sub-image data has the size of the main image data, and then the resized sub-image data and the main image data are synthesized and displayed on a display 120. |
