PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor which is capable of efficiently guiding exhaust gas introduced to the inside of a protector to a detection element by guide bodies, making it collide with the detection element and activating the detection element in a shorter time.SOLUTION: Exhaust gas flowing through an exhaust pipe is introduced to the inside of a protector 4 via introduction holes 42A-42C. The exhaust gas introduced to the inside of the protector 4 is guided to a detection part 68 by guide bodies 44A-44C. The exhaust gas guided to the detection part 68 collides with the detection part 68 and raises the temperature of the detection part 68. Thus, most of the exhaust gas introduced to the inside of the protector 4 can be made to collide with the detection part 68 by the guide bodies 44A-44C, and the temperature of the detection part 68 can be efficiently raised and a detection element 6 can be activated in a shorter time. |
