The present invention relates to an automatic locking crescent for a sliding window. The automatic locking crescent for the sliding window is fixed to a window frame and selectively sets locking or unlocking in a fixing groove formed on the window frame or the window frame on the opposite side. The automatic locking crescent for the sliding window includes a base fixed to the window frame; an operation shaft of which one end is selectively inserted into the fixing groove of the window frame or the window frame on the opposite side and which passes through the window frame and the base; a handle moving the operation shaft in the axle direction with a rotation force by being connected to the other end of the operation shaft; and an elastic member elastically supporting the operation shaft in a locking direction as one end is supported on the operation shaft or the handle and the other end is supported on the base.
