PURPOSE: A method for analyzing and recognizing sounds for the deaf and a system thereof are provided to improve sound analysis accuracy by sorting the kinds of sounds and classifying analysis models. CONSTITUTION: A method for analyzing and recognizing sounds for the deaf comprises the following steps: detecting sounds; selecting and determining the detected sounds according to the kind of sound sources; analyzing the sensed sound according to each frequency band and extracting the properties of the sounds; outputting emotional information on sounds using an emotion modeling equation; generating a tactile signal determined according to the outputted emotional information.
