PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus that facilitates discharging a material to be recorded remaining upon the occurrence of paper jam in a user level by using a release structure of a driven roller for conveyance, and also capable of reducing a space for installing a structure for separating out of the drive roller of the driven roller for conveyance, thereby contributing to the thinning of a device casing.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: first and second rollers 10, 11 for sandwiching paper P conveyed to a recording part 8 and rotated therewith; a roller supporting member 17 for supporting the second roller 11 and capable of switching between a first state of bringing the second roller 11 into contact with the first roller 10 and a second state of separating the second roller 11 from the first roller 10; and a slider 18 for switching a state of the roller supporting member 17, while being engaged with the roller supporting member 17 and variably provided along a rotation axis direction of the second roller 11. |
