PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for an electric wire protection material, which has heat resistance, fire retardancy, and calcium chloride resistant property, and also has resistance to a braided wire, and to provide an electric wire protection material and a wire harness.SOLUTION: A composition for an electric wire protection material contains polypropylene in which 50-95 mass% of monomer is propylene monomer, and MFR is 0.5-5 g/10 minutes, and that has a melting point of 150°C or more, a bromine-based fire retardant agent and antimony trioxide, phenolic antioxidant, imidazole-based antioxidant, and metal deactivator. The polypropylene has a charpy impact strength of 10 kJ/mor more at a tensile strength of 20-35 MPa and at 23°C. The composition for an electric wire protection material is configured by combining 1.5-15 pts.mass of the bromine-based flame retardant and the antimony trioxide as a total amount, 0.1-3 pts.mass of the phenolic antioxidant, and 0.1-3 pts.mass of the metal deactivator, to 100 pts.mass of the polypropylene. |
