PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, a system, and a method for attaching a sensing device to a target object.SOLUTION: A sensing device 20 is attached to a target object 10 (e.g. a pipe, a tube, or another conduit) with coupling material 30. The sensing device 20 transmits and receives ultrasonic signals to monitor corrosion/erosion of the target object 10. The coupling material 30 transmits ultrasonic signals from the sensing device 20 to the target object 10. This apparatus includes one or more magnets that attach the apparatus to the target object. The sensing device is coupled to the target object with a coupling material and is held in place against the target object by the apparatus. |
