PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade member that reliably reduces the occurrence of noise without changing a slide contact state between an object and the blade member, a cleaning device, a process cartridge, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A blade member 15a is provided with: a blade body 15a1, a leading edge of which contacts an object over a longitudinal direction; a holder member 15a2 that holds the blade body 15a1; vibration detection means 15a3 for detecting the vibration level of the holder member 15a2 having the blade body 15a1 as a vibration source; and rigidity varying means 15a4 and 15a5 for varying the rigidity of the holder member 15a2. The rigidity varying means 15a4 and 15a5 vary the rigidity of the holder member 15a2 so that the vibration level of the holder member 15a2 decreases on the basis of a detection result of the vibration detection means 15a3. |
