Disclosed are a method and device for selecting a television network application. The method for selecting a television network application comprises the following steps: obtaining a two-dimensional-code value from a two-dimensional-code graph paper; obtaining an index value by analyzing according to the two-dimensional-code value, and sending the index value to a browser; receiving the index value, and obtaining a corresponding URL link address by analyzing according to the index value and a corresponding configuration file; sending the URL link address and an identifier of a television to a server; after the server verifies that the identifier is correct, loading a related network application. The present invention enables the television network application to be selected through the two-dimensional-code technology, decreases the difficulty of a user in selecting the television network application, and is more suitable to be used by a user.
