PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a frame derived by synthesizing a plurality of moving image frames to generate a moving image of suitable picture quality.SOLUTION: A moving image of suitable picture quality, with a view angle distortion in it corrected, by using a frame derived by synthesizing a plurality of moving image frames. Specifically, an image pickup device acquires images sequentially as they are obtained by photographing a subject and detects an angle of view at photographed time for each of the acquired images. Also, it selects a plurality of images to be synthesized which are to be used in generating one frame sequentially from among the acquired images, and synthesizes the selected plurality of synthesis object images to generate a moving image consisting of the obtained composite image as a frame. If the plurality of images to be synthesized have a different view angle at photographed time, the view angle of one standard image to be synthesized selected as a standard among the plurality of images to be synthesized and that of images to be synthesized having a different view angle at photographed time are at least adjusted, whereby all of the plurality of images to be synthesized are made to have the same view angle and the same number of pixels before being synthesized. |
