PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify, with a higher probability, a user of reception of an email of emergency notification.SOLUTION: In one embodiment, a communication terminal comprises: a receiving unit for receiving an e-mail; a notification unit for notifying reception of an e-mail by a setting mode which has been set; and a control unit for having the notification unit output an emergency notification sound regardless of the set setting mode if it is determined that a received e-mail is an e-mail transmitted by a predetermined other communication terminal and emergency notification created by an emergency notification function of the other communication terminal. For example, when the communication terminal received an email which is an emergency notification object indicating crime prevention buzzer notification from the other communication terminal, it can notify the user by the emergency notification sound regardless of the set setting mode. |
