PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect important information on an object with a small amount of calculations.SOLUTION: An object detection part 22 is configured to comprises: generating an edge image from a color image; evaluating symmetry of an image contained in the edge image with consideration to a pixel position of an attention pixel; identifying a symmetric center pixel of an object having the symmetry; detecting an object width for each symmetric center pixel; identifying a width in a vertical direction of the object from widths in the vertical direction of the symmetric center pixels; and identifying a width in a horizontal direction of the object from the object widths identified for each symmetric center pixel. |
