[Classes 52 (i) and 52 (v)] [See also Groups X, XXV, and XXXIV] A runner for movably supporting curtains or like articles or doors, windows, drawers or shelves comprises a slotted tube a in which runs a ball c rotatably carried in a part spherical bearing formed between claws d<2> of a carrier member d having its shank passing out of the tube a through the slot. When used for suspending curtains and like articles the shank is provided with a hook d2. The device may be used to hang doors by their upper edges or to support them by their lower edges and may be used to support drawers or shelves, the member d in this case assuming an approximately horizontal position. In a modification(not shown) the carrier member may be adapted to receive two or more balls suitably spaced apart. |
