The method involves transmitting the application of one of the components (NK1-NK3) of the automation network (AN) to a mobile device (MG). The application is executed on the mobile device. The logical connection (DV1) is established between the mobile device and the to-be-configured component. The parameter of the logical connection is entered or modified by the application of the mobile device. An independent claim is included for application for configuring component of industrial automation arrangement.
