The housing (1) has an attachment device intended to mount a vehicle seat (2) to a battery housing base, where the vehicle seat is mounted to the battery housing base via seat rails (3). The battery housing base includes screwing locations intended to permit securing of the battery housing base to the seat rails, where the battery housing base is intended to be secured to a safety belt connection (4) of the vehicle seat. An upper side of the battery housing base includes a recess (5) to permit foot space for an occupant of a vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for the assembly of a vehicle battery with a vehicle seat in a vehicle.
