<p>Dental composition comprising
(i) a polymerizable poly(ethylenimine) derivative, which contains repeating units of the following formula (I)
wherein the R, which are independent from each other, are selected from one or more groups of the following formula (II):

is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a group -(CH 2 ) o COOM', wherein M' is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent cation, and o is an integer of from 0 to 6;
R 2
is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or a group -(CH 2 ) p COOM", wherein M" is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent cation, and p is an integer of from 0 to 6;
n
is 0 or 1;
and optionally a hydrogen atom, a further repeating unit of formula (I), and one or more groups of the following formula (III):

is a group -(CH 2 ) q COOM''', wherein Mº¹ is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent cation, and q is an integer of from 0 to 6;

is an integer of 0 to 4;
provided that when none of R in any of the repeating groups of formula (I) of the polymerizable poly(ethylenimine) derivative is a group of formula (II) wherein R 1 is a group -(CH 2 ) o COOM' or R 2 is a group -(CH 2 ) p COOM'', then at least one R must be a group of formula (III);
(ii) an initiator system;
(iii) water; and
(iv) optionally a particulate filler.</p> |
