<p>There is provided an apparatus configured to detect at least two wireless networks (102' to 106') available at the location of the apparatus (100), wherein each wireless network (102' to 106') is provided by a different access point (102 to 106); generate a test signal (400) to be transmitted to each access point (102 to 106), wherein the test signal (400) is arranged to cause the receiving access point (102 to 106) to apply a connection to a predetermined target (108, 410); cause a transmission of the test signal (400) to each access point (102 to 106) and reception of a response (402) from the corresponding access point (102 to 106); acquire information about the connections via the wireless networks (102' to 106') on the basis of the received responses (402); and select the wireless network (102' to 106') to connect to among the at least two wireless networks (102' to 106') on the basis of the acquired information and at least one predetermined criterion.</p> |
