The saw blade (1) has teeth (3) that are arranged on gear support unit (2). Each tooth has a tooth tip (8) with a cutting edge (9). The portion of tooth tip is produced from high-speed steel alloy and annealed coarse grain. The steel alloy is selected from steel alloy metal-like carbides and M6C carbides. The steel alloy comprises carbon of 0.8-1.4 weight %, chromium of 3.5-5.0 weight %, molybdenum of 0.1-10.0 weight %, vanadium of 0.8-10.5 weight %, tungsten 0.1-10.0 weight % and cobalt of 1.0-12.0 weight %.
