<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus and method, capable of suppressing a wasteful power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus includes a plurality of reception modules 15_1 to 15_N for converting a received electric wave to a reception digital signal, a plurality of frequency demultiplexing channelizers 10_1 to 10_N provided to correspond to the plurality of reception modules 15_1 to 15_N and to output signals with the reception digital signal demultiplexed to i (positive integer) types of frequency bands on frequency band basis, and a plurality of digital beam generators 11_1 to 11_N provided to the respective frequency bands to generate multiple beams by input of the signals issued from the plurality of frequency demultiplexing channelizers 10_1 to 10_N and demultiplexed to the i types of frequency bands and by performing sum-of-product calculation on weight coefficients for the respective demultiplexed signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
