PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element having a longer lifetime than an organic electroluminescent element using N,N-di(m-tolyl)N,N'-diphenylbenzene (TPD). SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element has an organic compound layer including one or more layers sandwiched between a pair of electrodes, and at least one layer constituting the organic compound layer contains one or more kinds of charge transporting polyester.
