Because needle selection in second stage is carried out by separating needle selecting mechanisms (17L, 17R) on both sides of the carriage (16) as preparation needle selection and main needle selection, the carriage width and stroke width may not become larger. Knitting in range of the carriage (13b) in knitting zone (14a) controls to compensate needle selection according to knitting data preset by the controller (18) and moving position of the carriage (13a, 13b) etc., such that preparation needle condition is recovered. |
