A touch input method and a touch display device applying the same are provided. The touch input method determines a touch surface of an object touching a touch display device and determines an input function corresponding to the touch surface of the object when a touch of the object to the touch display device is sensed. The method performs input operation by using the input function corresponding to the touch surface when the touch input is performed by using the object. The input operation by various input functions can be performed by performing the touch input using various objects without displaying an input function change menu.
