PURPOSE: A cooling reinforcement structure of a cylinder block is provided to reinforce cooling of the upper part of a cylinder block bore which is weak in the cooling. CONSTITUTION: A cooling reinforcement structure of a cylinder block comprises a separator(30) and one or more inserts(10a,10b,10c). The separator is installed in order to come close to an outlet(O) of a water jacket. The separator guides cooling water induced from an inlet(I) of the water jacket to the upper part when the cooling water is discharged through the outlet. The insert is inserted into the lower part of the water jacket formed in a Siamese unit(4) between each cylinder bore(3) of the cylinder block. The insert reinforces movement of the cooling water in the upper part and the lower part of the water jacket. |
