[Object] To provide a hologram information reproducing device which can reproduce information from a recording medium on which hologram information is recorded, and which can be downsized. [Solving Means] When light from a light source 11 is emitted, the light is converted into reference light A, which is parallel light, by a lens 121 of an optical system 12. A mirror 122 changes the orientation of the reference light A so that it is oriented obliquely downward towards a recording medium M. More specifically, as viewed from the top, the mirror 122 changes a path of the light from the light source unit 11 by approximately 90 degrees. In addition, as viewed from the side, the mirror 122 changes the path of the light from the light source unit 11 downward by approximately 45 degrees. Since an interference pattern 25 recorded on the recording medium M is a Bragg grating, when the reference light A illuminates a recording area 24 of the recording medium M, a reproduction light B is obtained by Bragg diffraction.
