As to a distance measuring apparatus using interferometry, the present invention relates to a distance measuring apparatus which overcomes limitation of interferometry using a laser light source by analyzing data measured by a light detector using a radio-frequency spectrum analyzer and, more specifically, to a frequency domain distance measuring apparatus comprising: a low coherent light source with a narrow frequency bandwidth; an optical interferometer for accepting light discharged from the light source using a light divider for transmitting an intensity interference signal of divided lights to the light detector; the light detector for converting the intensity interference signal transmitted by the optical interferometer into an electric interference signal and transmitting the electric interference signal to the radio-frequency spectrum analyzer; and the radio-frequency spectrum analyzer for analyzing the electric interference signal transmitted from the light detector. The present invention makes an optical or electric interference signal using the coherent light source and measures and analyzes a correlation of detected signals using a radio-frequency signal analyzer in a frequency domain, thereby accurately measuring a longer distance with greater resolution than an existing distance measuring apparatus and being widely used in various science and engineering fields such as remote sensing, satellite-to-satellite connection, medical imaging, and robot navigation. |
