<p>The present invention provides a method for detecting a condition associated with hypoxia in a subject, a method for determining the severity of a condition associated with hypoxia, a method for determining the effectiveness of a therapeutic treatment of a condition associated with hypoxia and a method for selecting a subject suffering from a condition associated with hypoxia, to receive therapeutic treatment, wherein the methods of the invention are based on measuring the level of a cell free Ribonucleic acid (RNA) of a p53 inducible gene in the subject. The present invention is also directed to kits for performing the method of the invention.</p> |
