The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the pitch of a vertical axis wind power generator using a hydraulic damper, wherein the apparatus controls the pitch angle of a blade in the vertical axis wind power generator using the hydraulic damper, thereby stably controlling the pitch angle despite the rotational inertia force of the blade, and despite the sudden angle variation and vibration of the blade generated by a drag force, lift force, and stall due to wind, and conveniently maintaining the apparatus with a simple structure. The apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a blade holder being hinged at the front end of a blade arm and being installed to be able to rotate; and the hydraulic damper being installed between the blade holder and the front end of the blade arm, and controlling the angle of the blade, wherein the blade holder is formed into a plate, has a through-hole which the blade penetrates and is coupled to, and has a stopper which protrudes and is bent toward the position of the blade arm, and the hydraulic damper is installed to be opposite to the stopper, wherein the blade arm is placed between the hydraulic damper and the stopper, one end of the hydraulic damper is coupled to the blade holder, and the other end of the hydraulic damper is installed and coupled to a connecting member coupled to the blade arm. |
