A method for diagnosing acute appendicitis in pelvic location comprises the measurement of the rectal temperature with the aid of the portable digital water-proof thermometer in the various rectal areas (depth to ).The local increase in the rectal temperature is indicative of the focal inflammation in the cavity of small pelvis (suggestive of the acute appendicitis). The hyperthermia in other regions of the anterior rectal wall is indicative of the acute gastroenterocolitis (when the clinical manifestations of the acute peritonitis are absent).
