A liquid crystal display device (10) comprising a chassis assembly (30); a liquid crystal display panel (20); a light guide plate (90) configured to guide light to the liquid crystal display panel (20); and a light emitting diode, LED, module (110) comprising a printed circuit board, PCB, (130) and a plurality of LED packages (120) mounted on the PCB (130) and configured to emit light to a lateral side of the light guide plate (90), wherein the light guide plate (90) is positioned on the PCB (130) of the LED module (110), and the PCB (130) further comprises a connector (200) protruding from a rear side thereof and being provided for electric connection to an external power source, wherein the connector (200) is located on the rear side of the light guide plate (90).
