FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be applied in treatment of multiple and floating fractures of ribs. Method consists in application of apparatus of external fixation with application of pins on intact and injured parts of ribs. First, two pins with rest sites are introduced into intact and injured ribs on tangent from the right and from the left. Pins are introduced in such a way that rest sites rest against external cortical layer of rib, and pin end does not go out of internal cortical layer of rib and does not hurt costal pleura. After that, free ends of pins are curved in arc-like way and fixed in fixing device. Mounted fixing blocks are connected into block apparatus by means of rods and support bar. After that traction by rods is created to eliminate displacement and to stabilise rib fractures. Applied device represents block apparatus, consisting of support bar and fixed on it fixing units, made in form of blocks, each of which consists of two pins, curved in arc-like way. Working ends of pins are provided with support sites and are directed towards each other. Pins are fixed on rod by means of ear placed on it, washers with slots and fixing elements. Threaded end of rod is fixed on support bar with possibility of its axial travel.EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to stabilise injured bone elements in a reliable way, with preservation of patient's mobility, to reduce trauma in the process of device installation, reduce treatment terms.2 cl, 3 dwg |
