The present invention is about an integrated camera system for crime prevention and vehicle recognition, as a hybrid camera system comprising: a camera unit, installed in a site, for detecting a vehicle plate number and preventing crimes; a site control server, installed in the site adjacent to the camera unit, for performing operation of driving the camera unit or image processing; and a central server for being connected with main public offices such as a police station in order to manage the site by recognizing and analyzing image materials received from the site control server; wherein the camera unit has multiple auxiliary cameras for observing multiple directions with one camera housing around the camera housing, and a rotation type pan tilt zoom main camera is installed in the center of the auxiliary camera. The integrated camera system for crime prevention and vehicle recognition can be used for crucially advantageous use to prevent crimes and catch criminals by integrally installing both of a camera for security and a camera for vehicle number recognition in order to monitor people and vehicles at the same time.
