The present invention relates to a method for identifying a microcell within a macrocell in a wireless communication system. The method according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the following steps: obtaining a physical layer identifier for a microcell by searching for a microcell adjacent to a terminal; and identifying the microcell using the terminal which utilizes the physical layer identifier and a certain pattern of a subframe which is transmitted by the microcell.
