PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processor for suppressing malfunction, and for reducing power consumption, and to provide a processor for improving a processing speed, and for reducing power consumption, and to provide a method for driving the processor.SOLUTION: In power gating, a processor performs a part of the saving of data in parallel with arithmetic processing, and performs a part of the restoration of data in parallel with the arithmetic processing. Such a driving method prevents a sharp increase in power consumption in the data saving period and restoration period and generation of instantaneous voltage drops. Also, it is possible to suppress the increase of the saving period and restoration period of the data. |
