PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple row combination ball bearing capable of preventing a fault such as breakage and cracking of a bearing ring, even when a very large thrust load is applied.SOLUTION: In a multiple row combination ball bearing 10 having each of ball bearings 11A, 11B combined in parallel, the angular ball bearing 11A has a width dimension of a groove shoulder 12b at one side in an axial direction of an outer race 12 longer than a width dimension B of a standard bearing of ISO standards by &Dgr;. Accordingly, an extension line of each line connecting radial both end points a, b of a contact ellipse C in an outer race bearing groove 12a from a ball center passes through an outer circumferential surface of the outer race 12 of the ball bearing 11A and an axial both end plane 12e of the outer race 12 of the ball bearing 11B. In accordance with such a structure, when a large thrust load is applied, the load in the contact angle direction is applied not only the inner and outer races of the ball bearing 11A, but also backed up by the inner and outer races of the adjacent bearing so that bending stress acting on the inner and outer races is substantially reduced. |
