PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device that prevents external dust on the side of atmosphere from entering toward a lip end, and prevents leakage of a sealing fluid due to the dust, while sufficiently exhibiting pump action with screws.SOLUTION: A sealing device prevents a sealing fluid inside from leaking to the atmosphere. The sealing device includes a plurality of screws formed on a circumference and in contact with a shaft on a lip end of a seal lip and exhibiting pump action to the sealing fluid on an atmosphere-side inclined face of the seal lip. A dust preventive solid shape is arranged between the screws for preventing dust on the side of atmosphere from entering toward the lip end. The solid shape is a projection. The projection is discontinuous to the screws, and an air flow passage is set between the projection and the screw. |
