PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling mill including a work roll shift function of improving a yield by a simple means, and capable of materializing stable rolling.SOLUTION: In a six-stage rolling mill or a four-stage rolling mill, a pair of upper and lower work rolls 2 are provided with tapered parts 2b in upper and lower positions in point symmetry. The six-stage rolling mill or the four-stage rolling mill includes: shift cylinders 13 shifting the pair of upper and lower work rolls 2 in roll axial directions; a plate width end position detector 32 detecting the plate width ends of a metal strip 1; and a controller 35 performing drive control of the shift cylinders so as to make taper start positions 2a in the tapered parts of the pair of upper and lower work rolls coincide with the vicinities of the insides of the plate width ends or the vicinities of the outsides of the plate width ends detected by the plate width end position detector.
