PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress rolling movement of a rack shaft due to an input load onto a rack end from a tire in a power steering device.SOLUTION: In a power steering device, a center 27C of a ball 27A of a ball coupling 27 is arranged on an axially perpendicular cross section of a rack shaft 24 through a center of gravity of the cross section including a rack 24A on an extended line of a center axis 24L extending in an axial direction of the rack shaft 24. Rotation torque T generated around the center axis 24L of the rack shaft 24 by an input load in an actual vehicle vertical direction on the rack shaft 24 through the ball coupling 27 of a rack end 26 from the tire is T=F×e=0. Thereby, the rotation torque for rolling the rack shaft 24 around the center axis 24L is not generated, and rolling movement of the rack shaft 24 by the input load F on the rack end 26 from the tire can be suppressed. |
