PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for replacing a wire rope for an elevator, configured to allow the wire rope to be easily wound on the outer periphery of a drum without cutting it even in the middle part of a seamless long wire rope, at a site for replacing the wire rope for the elevator.SOLUTION: An apparatus 101 for replacing a wire rope for an elevator includes: a drum 2 to be rotated for winding a wire rope 1 on its outer periphery to hold it; a pressing roller part 3 alternately selecting a first posture that presses the wire rope 1 against the outer periphery of the drum 2, or a second posture which is separated from the outer periphery of the drum 2 so as to insert/remove the wire rope 1 therefrom; and a housing 4 for housing the drum 2. The housing 4 includes a work opening 10 for exposing at least a part of the outer periphery of the drum 2 so that the middle part of the wire rope 1 can be attached/detached when the pressing roller part 3 is in the second posture. |
