The method involves cutting-out two opposing corner portions with a mutual distance at an edge region i.e. remaining wane portion, of a timber element i.e. round timber and/or log, where the distance varies in partial areas over length of the timber element. An apex of the two opposing corner portions is stretched and a non-parallel narrow faces are separated-off by a saw cut along a plane, where the non-parallel narrow faces have a straight course.
