PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a case produced by an abnormal pixel generation cause, such as dust, adhered to a manuscript readout position of a scanner, in which a correction effect is reduced by image enlargement or reduction processing if correction processing is performed on data, and the problem of exceedingly deteriorated operability depending on the operation of a function to urge to clean whenever a stain is detected.SOLUTION: An image processing device includes: readout means for acquiring image data; detection means for detecting an abnormal pixel generation cause from the image data; resolution conversion means for performing resolution conversion processing according to a magnification set to the image data acquired by the readout means; and display means for displaying an indication to urge to clean a readout unit, if a value determined by the set magnification and size of the detected abnormal pixel generation cause is larger than a threshold. |
