PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft member consisting of soft materials and capable of being suitably used for producing a joined body, the joint part of the components (soft members) of which has no involuntary step formed thereon.SOLUTION: A method of producing a soft member used for producing a joined body consisting of soft materials includes: a base material-arranging step (1a) of arranging a base material 10 comprising a soft material, on a stage 30 through a fluid 20; and a cutting step (1b) of cutting the base material 10. It is preferable that the base material 10 is in a sheet-like shape. Moreover, it is preferable that the base material 10 comprises a silicone rubber.
