The system (1) has a radiation coupler (39) i.e. reflectance collimator, connected with a light source (35) for generating a light beam (31). The radiation coupler is arranged at a guide device (43) for guiding the radiation coupler along a preset guide track (45) aligned in a direction of a mirror material sample (19). A hood (3) comprises a recess (29) or a transparent area over which the light beam is introduced into an inner space (5) of the hood. A shadow tape (55) is pivotably arranged at an inner surface (7) of the hood. An independent claim is also included for a method for quality determination of a mirror material sample.
