PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new synthetic fiber multifilament yarn giving preferable raw yarn interlacing subjected to an increase in the number of filaments with thinning of a fiber, and high-speed treatment, and an interlacing apparatus and method preferably used for manufacturing the synthetic fiber multifilament yarn.SOLUTION: An apparatus for interlacing a multifilament yarn comprises: a thread guide portion through which a yarn passes; a fluid jetting hole 15 opened in the thread guide portion; and a thread treating portion adding interlacing to the yarn passing through the thread guide portion. The thread guide portion has a narrow portion 21 which has a narrowest cross-sectional area in a cross section perpendicular to a moving direction of the yarn of the thread guide portion, in which the cross-sectional area is gradually enlarged from the narrow portion 21 toward a gateway of the yarn of the thread guide portion and the fluid jetting hole 15 is opened in a downstream of the narrow portion 21 in the moving direction of the yarn. |
