PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation having high efficacy and high stability over time.SOLUTION: An external preparation for skin includes 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid, diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid pentasodium, and polyhydric alcohols. In the external preparation for skin: ≥50% of the polyhydric alcohols is 1,3-butylene glycol; and pH is 3.0-5.0 (more preferably, 3.5-4.5). Furthermore, efficacy is enhanced by addition of vitamin E or a derivative thereof. |
