PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent poor winding by stabilizing web conveyance during the transfer of the web between winding shafts.SOLUTION: Two winding shafts 22 for winding a web W are provided. The web W is wound so that winding tension T applied to the web W by the one winding shaft 22 can gradually decrease from a preset initial value. Immediately before the completion of winding, the other winding shaft 22, around which the web is not wound, is rotated; the web W is cut off on an upstream side in a web conveying direction between the winding shaft 22, around which the web is not wound, and the winding shaft 22 midway through an winding operation; and the web W starts to be wound around the winding shaft 22, around which the web is not wound, in such a manner that the winding tension at the start of the winding of the web around the winding shaft 22, around which the web is not wound, is the initial value. In a step of transfer of the web W to the winding shaft 22, around which the web is not wound, from the winding shaft 22 midway through the winding operation, the winding tension applied to the web W by the winding shaft 22 midway through the winding operation gradually increases to become equal to the initial value. |
