PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately alter post-driving time of a fixing part according to contents of an image formation to secure effectiveness of decreasing a temperature difference between each area on a fixing roller in the rotation shaft direction thereof while realizing shortening the post-driving time.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: a fixing part 13; a fixing temperature detection sensor 133 for detecting a temperature in an end part area of a fixing roller in the rotation shaft direction; a control part 100 for controlling drive of a fixing heater 131 according to a temperature detected by the fixing temperature detection sensor 133; and a post-driving time calculation part 101 for calculating post-driving time by subtracting a correction coefficient based on conveyance conditions of the recording media to the fixing part 13, from post-driving time calculated according to a size of the recording media used for successive image formations at an image forming part 12. The control part 100 allows the fixing part 13 to execute a post-driving operation using the post-driving time calculated by the post-driving time calculation part 101. |
