PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to access a locked HDD without inputting any password.SOLUTION: A main body unit 23 includes an HDD 121 in which a password is settable. A display unit 15 is configured to be connected and separated to and from a main body unit. NVRAM 127 and 227 store authentication information. The NVRAM 127 also stores a password of the HDD. The HDD in which the password is set is locked at the time of separation. When the main body unit and the display unit are connected, the main body unit authenticates the display unit. When authentication is successful, an EC 115 sends the password stored in the NVRAM 127 to the HDD. Thus, it is possible for a user to access the HDD without inputting any password at the time of connection. |
