PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor which enables a breather pipe to be easily and securely assembled.SOLUTION: An electric motor includes a yoke 2 where an armature 3 is rotatably housed and a bracket 17, and a vent hole 31 allowing the interior of the bracket 17 to communicate with the exterior is provided at the bracket 17. The vent hole 31 is composed of a main hole part 28 extending along a radial direction of the bracket 17; and a sub hole part 29 extending in a direction perpendicular to an extension direction of the main hole part 28 and communicating with the main hole part 28. A breather pipe is press-fitted into the sub hole part 29 to be fixed thereto. |
