PURPOSE: A molten material processing method and a molten material processing device are provided to improve decarburization efficiency while suppressing the loss of manganese and to manufacture the ferromanganese of a high quality having low carbon concentration. CONSTITUTION: A molten material processing method includes the following steps of: inserting decarburization gas into molten metal through top blowing and bottom flowing methods by using a lance and a nozzle (S110); inserting the decarburization gas through the top blowing and bottom flowing methods until the concentration of the carbon contained in the molten metal becomes 2% (S120); inserting the decarburization gas through the top blowing and bottom flowing methods until the concentration of the carbon contained in the molten metal becomes a desired value (S130); and returning the molten metal (S150). The molten metal is high carbon ferromanganese manufactured in an electric furnace, and a vessel is a decarburization refinement furnace. The molten metal is inserted into the vessel at a rate of 0.2-0.5 in respect to a diameter of the vessel. The decarburization gas is one among O2, CO2, and inactive gas.
