<p>The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide: a method for producing a phase difference film having an excellent phase difference development property and good moisture resistance; a polarizing plate equipped with the phase difference film; and a liquid crystal display device which is equipped with the phase difference film, has a reduced color shift, and has high contrast. The method for producing a phase difference film according to the present invention is a method for producing a phase difference film that contains cellulose acetate having an average acetyl group substitution degree of 2.0 to 2.5 and has a water content of 1.0 mass% or less, said method being characterized in that the phase difference film contains a compound having a van der Waals volume of 450 to 1000 Ǻ3 and the phase difference film is produced through at least five specific steps.</p> |
